Frieda Carpenter

Frieda Ann Duncan Carpenter, 67, of Kings Mountain, passed away on December 13, 2015 at Peak Resources, Gastonia. She was born on February 2, 1948 in Gaston County, to the late Otis James and Lillian Lovette Duncan.

Frieda liked the mountains, the beach, and the Carolina Panthers. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carpenter; son, Wayne Carpenter; brothers, Ronnie Duncan and Larry Duncan; grandson, Joshua Edwards.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Edwards and wife Penny of Stanley, Roger Edwards of Gastonia; brothers, Steve Duncan and wife Renae of Belmont; sister, Carolyn Moss and husband Harry of Kings Mountain; grandsons, David, James and Corey Edwards, Zachary Carpenter; great-grandchildren, McKinley Edwards, Bronnan Edwards.

Her memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Sisk Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Nelson Hope officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:30 pm Thursday, December 17, 2015 before the service.
