Gary Hughes Jr.

Gary Allen Hughes Jr., 62, of Bessemer City, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on October 9, 2021. He was born September 6, 1959, in Kankakee, IL to the late Gary Allen Hughes Sr. and Emma Black Parrish.

Gary was a hardworking, family oriented and nature appreciating man. He was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years, Cindy Bowlin Hughes; daughter, Santa Hughes; sons Michael Hughes and Taylor Hughes; brothers Nathan Black, David Hughes and Sam Harris; grandchildren Sierra Cox, Hunter Cox and Gracie Cox; great-grandchildren Chosyn Wells and Ava Wells.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Mt Beulah Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Gary’s memorial service will be held 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Mt Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Fain Farmer and Rev. Walt Griggs officiating.
