Gary Samuel Kiser

Gary Samuel Kiser, age 55, of Lincolnton passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center after an automobile accident. He was born on October 30, 1967, to the late Sammy Samuel and Betty Gantt Kiser. He was a faithful member at 8^th Street Church of God in Bessemer City. Gary graduated from Bessemer City High School, where he was in the band and later received his master’s degree as a machinist at NC State. He had worked at Sherrill Manufacturing for the past 4 years, and had also done plumbing, heating and air, and drove a school bus. He helped with his family-owned business, Kiser Farms, with the dairy cows and then later when they went to beef cows. He even worked at the chicken houses on the farm. Even though Gary was busy working and helping on the farm, he was always there for his family as a devoted husband and father. His family meant the world to him. He loved to go camping with them and traveling, especially to the beach or the mountains. Gary also was a member of the Bowling League at Liberty Lane. He will be truly missed but will forever be in our hearts. Along with his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Woodrow and Violet Pendleton Gentry; and nephew Matthew Todd Chestine.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Wendy Gentry Kiser; daughter Allison Kiser; brother Bruce Kiser; sister-in-law Paula Matthew; niece Tonya Chestine; cousins Wanda Huffstetler and Diane Carpenter; along with many other family members that will truly miss him.

To celebrate Gary’s life, the family will have a visitation at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 11:00 am – 11:45 am. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 noon with Pastor Ronnie Pendleton officating. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
