General James King, 77, of Gastonia passed away on May 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 13, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Washington and Gatia Ann Elizabeth King.
General retired from textiles.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Lee King, brother Richard "Red" King and sister Rachel Mills.
He is survived by his daughter Lee Ann Plemmon and husband Jim; sons Danny Wilson and Billy Wilson; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremations Services with Pastor Leo Kuykendall officiating.
Interment will follow in Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.
