George William Clemmer Sr., 75, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at Parker Adventist Hospital, Parker Colorado. He was born on October 21, 1941 in Dallas, NC to the late Lander Lee and Nelle Mae Holland Clemmer.
George was a Vietnam veteran while serving in the United States Army; and retired after 21 years of service to his country. George also faithfully served his Lord as a deacon and choir member at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lander Lee Clemmer Jr. and sister, Peggy Wilkinson.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 54 years, Inge Keese Clemmer; his son, George Clemmer Jr. of Hendersonville, NC; his son, David Clemmer and wife Donna of Dallas, NC; his daughter, Sandra Wadley and husband Paul of Parker, CO; his son, Michael Clemmer and wife Sherry of Alexis, NC; his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Clemmer of Burglengenfeld, Germany; Ariel Clemmer of Kings Mountain, NC; Zachary Clemmer, wife Tori and great-grandson Brantlee of Blacksburg, SC; Randall Padgett and wife Katie of Dallas, NC; his sisters, Marion Harris and Carolyn Taylor of Dallas, NC; his brother, Albert Clemmer and wife Barbara of Stanley, NC; his brother, Charles Clemmer and wife June of Dallas, NC; many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; life-long friends Ronald and Charlene Wadley of Parker, CO and Margaret 'Peggy' Gunter of Denver, CO; and his loving church family at Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Dallas, NC with Rev. Stephen Weaver and Rev. Andy Broughton officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the funeral at the church.
