Gracie Martin

Gracie Hill Martin, 69, of Gastonia passed away on January 8, 2014 at home. She was born February 3, 1944 in Gaston County, to the late William Robert "Bob" and Maggie Elizabeth Shires Hill.

Gracie was a loving wife of 52 years, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was well loved and will be missed by all. She was a member of Sunset Forest Baptist Church.

Gracie is survived by her husband, James Bradley Martin, Sr.; sons, James Martin, Jr., Robert Allen Martin, Douglas Martin and wife Beverly; sisters, Ann Hensley, Christine Chapman; daughters-in-law, Donna White Martin, Donna Clark, DeeAnn Martin; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Randy Arrowood officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Her family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30-3:00 PM at the funeral home.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Rodney Earl Martin; sister, Louise Branch; brothers, Doody Hill, Arthur Hill, Preston Hill.
