Grier "Gittle" Costner, Jr

Grier “Gittle” Wayne Costner, Jr., 72, of Crouse, passed away at his home on February 15, 2022. He was born January 20, 1950, in Lincoln County, to the late Grier Wayne Costner, Sr. and the late Inez Fowler Costner.

He is preceded in death by his son, Brad Costner and siblings Allen, Dale and Elaine.

Gittle was a member of the Kings Mountain Knights MC and was a former dirt track driver. He was known for “Doing It His Way”.

Left to cherish his memory his son, Travis Costner (Tracy); sisters, Ewayne Blankenship, and Eraine “Midge” Cooper; brother, Randy Wayne Costner; Travis’s mom Juanita Haines; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Acuff, Brad Costner, and Grier “Chance” Costner, IV; great grandson on the way, Raylan Wyatt Acuff.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Gittle’s funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Houser officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
