Helen Neal

By the grace of God, Helen Bridges Neal, 81, was called to her heavenly home on June 12, 2014, while at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby. She was born January 14, 1933, in Cleveland County, to the late Marcus Hoyle and Ola Myrtle Mode Bridges.

Helen was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation for the personal and professional care and love given to Helen by the staff at Wendover Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Cherryville, with Rev. Keith Hollar officiating.

Her body will lie in state from 5:15-6:00 PM.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Helen's Celebration of Life Reception will be held from 7:15-9:00 PM in the church Family Life Center.

She is survived by; daughters, Sherry Reynolds and husband Gary of Bessemer City, Robbie Lovelace and husband Danny of Cherryville, Gina Neal of Dallas; sister, Connie Warlick; grandchildren, Sidney Reynolds and wife Candy, Haley Reynolds Lewis and husband Michael, Jessica Taylor, Zachary Lovelace, Alison Christopher, Isaac Sosebee, Caleb Sosebee; great-grandchildren, Kylie Reynolds, Brooke McAbee, Ashley McAbee, Kaleigh Lewis, Kaden Lewis, and Zoey Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Robert "Rob" Neal; brothers, Lawrence, Buck, H. C., Colin, Paul, Nelson, Corbett, Marcus Jr., Hubert Buren Bridges; sisters, Laura Blanton, Lucy Blanton, Melba Willis, Betty Lingerfelt, Mary Ola Bridges.
