Helen Walker

Helen Ruth Mason Walker, 83, of Bessemer City passed away on November 8, 2013 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born August 26, 1930 in Cherokee County, NC, to the late Burton and Jessie Crowder Mason.

Helen was a member of Charity Independent Baptist Church in Gastonia.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Weaver and wife Jackie, Jerry Weaver and wife Paulette; daughter, Connie Seagraves; stepson, Robbie Walker; daughter-in-law, Glenda Mason; nine grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Walker, Jr.; sons, Robert Mason and James Weaver; daughter, Cathey Weaver; son-in-law, Roger Seagraves, Sr; brothers, Red and Boyd Mason; sisters, Kate Coleman, Etna and Opel Mason.

Her funeral services will be held at Charity Independent Baptist Church in Gastonia at 2:00 PM on Tuesday with Rev. Brian Austin officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

Helen's family will receive friends one hour before the service.
