Horace Hardy

Horace Junior Hardy, 76, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 27, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 7, 1943 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Horace and Alice Hardy.

He retired from Pharr Yarns, Spencer Mountain Plant after 47 years of dedicated service.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Geraldine Hardy and granddaughter Heather Abernathy.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Melissa Hardy of the home; son, Barry Hardy and wife Becky of Dallas; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Donald Hardy and wife Rhonda of Dallas; sister, Brenda Hepler and husband Tim of Bessemer City.

Junior’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating.

His visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2019 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
