Howard Hamilton

Howard Randall "Randy" Hamilton, 66, of Bessemer City, went peacefully to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, at home after a five-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Monday April 4, 2016. He was born October 4, 1949 in Gaston County, to the late Tom and Macie Burrell Hamilton.

Randy was a longtime member of First Wesleyan Church of Bessemer City where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. He retired from American & Efird after 33 years of service. Randy was a loving husband and a devoted father, grandfather and brother. He was a selfless man who loved his church and everybody he knew. Randy will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 36 years, Judy Clark Hamilton; sons, Scott Hamilton of Sanford, NC, Todd Hamilton of Gastonia, Jason Ramsey and wife Gretchen of Yardley, PA; daughter Julie Ramsey Hayes and husband Rod of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Orrie and Zack Hamilton, Jake, Tessa and Dylan Ramsey, Chandler and Carson Ragsdale, Morgan and Cooper Hayes; brother, Tom Hamilton of Houston TX.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City, NC.

His funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday April 9, 2016 at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City, NC with the Rev. Wes Brown and the Rev. Mark Tolan officiating.

Interment will follow in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
