Hubert Snipes

Hubert Snipes, Jr., 85, of Gastonia, passed away on May 24, 2014 at Gastonia Heath and Rehabilitation Center. He was born, February 26, 1929 in Marlboro County, SC to the late Hubert Ben Snipes, Sr. and the late Edith Whitener Snipes.

Hubert was a member of the First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia and worked at Snipes Shoe Repair for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son, David Snipes, grandchildren, Benji Snipes and wife Michelle, Lori Tate and husband Jason, great grandchildren, Madalyn, Emma, Will Tate and Colby Snipes

His funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday at First Wesleyan Church, Gastonia with Rev. Tim Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:30 PM Saturday at the church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Miller Snipes and daughter-in-law, Sandra Rabb Snipes.
