James Christopher, Sr.

James Richard Christopher, Sr., 60, of Bessemer City, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on February 19, 2022. He was born October 17, 1961, in Gaston County, to the late James Harrison Christopher and Mary Hutchens Christopher.

Richard was the owner and operator of his own construction business.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Little Richard (Stephanie), Christa Stang, Amanda Perkins (Brian), Darrell Christopher (Kimberly), Adam Barber, Joey Christopher (Taylor), Casey Christopher, Caleb Christopher (Sam), and Zach Christopher; brothers, Ricky Christopher, and Donald Wayne Christopher (Karen); sisters, MaryAnn Jones (Chris), Linda Mintz, and Lisa Marfino; 27 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Richard’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Laurel Wood Ministries, 124 Gamble Loop Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28016, with Minister “Little Richard” officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
