James Oris Cotter

James Oris Cotter, 84, of Gastonia, passed away at home on March 12, 2024. He was born December 06,1939, in Polk County, TN, to the late James Madison Cotter and Leona Jane Trantham. 

He is preceded in death by common law wife of 40 plus years, Joyce Black.

James was a hard-working and loving father to his children. He enjoyed reading the Bible.

Left to cherish his memories are sons, Allan Cotter, Jeff Cotter; daughter, Carina Beaver, stepdaughters, Sue Gilbert, June Fraley; brother, Paul Cotter; grandchildren, Adam, Heather, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Chandler, Kiersten, Trent, Tristen, Halle, Kinsley; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Kennedy officiating.
