James Emory

James Arthur Emory, 77, of Bessemer City, passed away on November 25, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born November 14, 1937 in Gaston County to Eddie and Lucille Long Emory.

James was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gastonia.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Emory, Lonnie Emory, Eddie Emory.

He is survived by his brothers, Rodney Emory and wife Chip of Hickory Grove, SC, Randy Emory and wife Karen of Columbus, Ga., Love Emory of Bessemer City, Terry Emory, Sr. and wife Karen of Mt. Holly; sister; Frieda Brock and husband Dean of Gastonia; sisters-in-law, Jane Emory of Dallas, Brenda Emory of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews and friends; special friends, Mervin Cloninger and family, Norman McGill and family, Mike Deason, Carmen Faries, Lucas Faries.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 at Bethlehem Baptist Church-North Campus with Rev. Dickie Spargo, Rev. Dale Lawing, Rev. Frank Hoyle officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Visitation will be from 11:00-12:45 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 at the church and other times at the home of his sister, Frieda Brock, 1266 Cambridge Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 3100 Bethlehem Church Street, Gastonia, NC 28056.
