James Harrison

Bessemer City, North Carolina

James "Pee Wee" Carl Harrison, 83, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully Saturday November 11, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 14, 1934 in Gaston County to the late Arthur and Bonnie Mack Harrison.

James was a proud veteran having served with the USMC from 1952-1955 and in the Korean Conflict. He was a humble and kind man, a devout Christian and a loving and devoted husband and father.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gaston Hospice, especially Lisa Bradshaw for their care.

He is survived by his son Tony Harrison of Cramerton; daughters Wanda Harrison of Cramerton and Jamie Rinehart of Bessemer City; one grandson, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and his beloved dog Bud.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

James's family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

He will be laid to rest in the Bessemer City Memorial City Cemetery beside his beloved sweetheart and wife Polly.
