James Price

James David Price went to be with the Lord on his birthday, November 12, 2014. He was the son of Sandra D. Price of Gastonia and the late James C. Price.

James served in the United States Navy and was an avid fisherman. A special thanks to Gaston Hospice and to his caregivers, Rich, Lisa, and nurse Betty.

James was preceded in death by his father, James C. Price; uncles, Reginald and Archie Deal, Gordon Pope; cousin, Laura Huffsteler; maternal grandparents, Archie Deal, Sr. and Dovie Deal; paternal grandparents, Roy J. and Doris Price.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra Deal Price of the home; one brother and one sister, Charissa and Lee Medlin of the home; nephew, Daniel Hendrix of Dallas; great nephew, Hunter Martin of Kings Mountain; niece, Nikki Martin and husband Ryan of Kings Mountain; great-nieces, Madyson, Chloe, Sophia Martin of Kings Mountain, aunts, Diane Pope of Lowell; Debra Deal of Dallas, Janice Huffsteler of Belmont, Nancy and Brad of Waco, Ann Deal of Blacksburg, SC; uncles, Jerry Deal of Dallas, Don Huffsteler of Belmont; Many cousins.

His funeral service will held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Norman Greene officiating.

Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont with military rites by Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November, 15, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
