Janice Rountree

Janice "Jan" Toney Gee Rountree, 63, passed away on Monday April 30, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born August 1, 1954 in Gaston County to Sallie Davis Toney and the late Clyde Richard Toney, Sr..

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Richard A. Toney.

Jan was retired from Gaston County Schools, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Bessemer City.
She enjoyed loving everybody, always had a smile, and being a Nana, that loved watching Dakota play sports. Her life was her family, especially her son and grandson, she loved spending time with them, as well as her extended family and friends.

Left to cherish her memories is her son Chad Gee and wife Stephanie of Bessemer City; mother, Sallie Davis Toney; grandson Dakota Gee; Brother Clyde R. Toney, Jr.; soulmate Roger Davis; her loving pet Abby.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services and other times at 409 East Iowa Ave, Bessemer City, NC.

Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Millwood and Rev. Eddie McGinnis officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
