Jann Savage

Jann Lindsay Savage, 97, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born April 19, 1923 in Gaston County to the late William A. Lindsay and Elta White Lindsay.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Inmond Jerry Savage, Jr.; siblings Eleanor Lindsay Ware, William “Bill” A. Lindsay, Jr., and Alva Jane “Abbie” Shumate.

Jann was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. She was a very active member in church community. She taught Sunday School and was the GA director for many years. Jann retired as secretary at Lincoln Junior High, Bessemer City. She loved having family cookouts and family meals at her home.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Janice Busby (Jimmy) and David Savage (Donna); grandchildren Chris Busby (Rachel Herrick), Matthew, Kimberly, and Luke Savage; great-grandchildren Margaret Sage Busby-Herrick and Juniper Lynn Busby.

She will lie in state from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Jann’s funeral service will be private.
