Jimmie Willard

Jimmie Demmette Willard, 88, of Dallas, passed away on January 5, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born on January 1, 1928 in Gaston County to the late John Henry and Georgia Watts Willard.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Mae Dellinger Willard.

Mr. Willard was retired from Dixie Yarns Rex #2 plant after 47 years.

Left to cherish his memories are his children; Diane Willard Bridges of Shelby, Larry Willard of the home, and Keith Willard and wife Sheila of Ranlo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his special nephew, John Helms.

Jimmie's funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City with Rev. Jimmy Black officiating.

Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
