Jimmy Welch

Jimmy Wayne Welch, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away at the Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home on April 13, 2022. He was born June 24, 1947, in Gaston County, to the late James William and Barbara Allie Elkins Welch.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Savanna Welch.

Jimmy was a U.S. Army Veteran serving two terms in Vietnam. When he was able, he loved to work on cars and wouldn’t touch anything but a Chevrolet. Jimmy absolutely loved his two dogs, Marley and Baby. Later in life, he became a double amputee due to being exposed to Agent Orange while in Vietnam.

Left to cherish his memories are his siblings, Susan Welch of Gastonia, Ann Lowe of Gastonia, and Ronnie Welch of Albemarle, NC; daughter, Cassandra Welch Suiter of Tennesse; grandchild, Gracie Welch of Tennessee; four great grandchildren of Tennessee.

The inurnment will take place at a later date at Hollywood Cemetery.
