Joann Bumgardner

Joann Anderson Bumgardner, 66, of Gastonia, passed away on November 4 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 25, 1949 in Gaston County, to the late A.C. and Margaret Blanton Anderson.

Joann is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Bumgardner, sons, Charles David "Little Joe" Bumgardner of Gastonia, James Keith "Tater" Bumgardner of Union, SC, Terry Eugene Bumgardner and wife Kristal of Gastonia; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; brother, J. W. Anderson of Clinton, SC, sisters, Mary Cowan and husband Lee Roy, and Robin Eagle all of Gastonia.

Joann was the director of Chapel Grove Baptist Daycare for many years and was loved by many. She was a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She always offered love, encouragement and kind words. Her love for others will never be forgotten. Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel.

Her graveside service was held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, with Rev. Harold Ashe officiating.
