John Phillip Walker, Jr.

John Phillip Walker, Jr., age 75, of Bessemer City passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 10, 1948, to the late John Phillip Walker, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Houser Walker Carver. John dedicated several years of his life to West End Hardware, where he refined his skills as a mechanic and worked outdoors in the yard. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing and watching his favorite shows including westerns, Star Trek, and the Three Stooges. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his nephew JD Mitchell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years Pamela Joan Hubbard Walker; sons John Walker, III and Rodney Thomas Walker; daughter Maeve Pamela Ruth Walker Black (John); sister Margaret Fletcher; granddaughters Taylor, Gracie, Leanne, Aurora, Athena, and Nova; along with a numerous number of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

There are no funeral arrangements planned. Inurnment will be with the family.
