Jonathon Gibson

Jonathon Ray Gibson, April 2, 1993 to February 14, 2015, joined his ancestors for hunting and fishing with the angels. Jonathon loved every part of the earth. One of his greatest passions was dropping a line, catching a fish. He loved canoeing and hunting with his best friend, his dad. Every part of nature was his joy - snowboarding, going to the mountains, strolling on the beach, hanging with friends around a bonfire.

Jonathon leaves behind many friends, cousins, aunts and uncles, former teachers, coaches, and his loving parents, Donnie Gibson and Kimberly Allen Grigg, step-parents Cheryl Gibson and Don Grigg, and his lifelong buddy, his brother Trey and soon-to-be born nephew Cyrus; maternal grandparents, John and Ingrid Murray of St. Petersburg, FL; paternal grandmother, Joyce Gibson of Gastonia; step-grandparents, Hazel Ollis of Gastonia, Bob and Dorothy Grigg of Dallas; step-brothers, Ryan Mulwee of Stanley, Layne Mulwee of Dallas; step-sister, Charity Mulwee McDaniel of Mt. Holly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Henry Gibson, Sr.

Jonathon's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Parkwood Baptist Church with Rev. Austin Rammell officiating.

Burial will be private.

Friends and family of the father may visit the family at 658 White-Jenkins Road, Bessemer City and friends and family of the mother may visit the family at 629 Loray Farm Road, Dallas.
