Joseph Dover

Joseph "Jody" Dover, 47, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 25, 2015, at home. He was born October 21, 1968 in York County to Ethel Mae Bolin Dover and the late Avery Dover.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by sons, Joshua Dover of Raleigh and Joseph Dover of Clover; his fiancé, Paula Dover; son, Joshua Teague of Gastonia; daughters, Kimberly Teague and Brittany Teague both of Gastonia; sisters, Chrissy Helms and her husband (Jody's best friend) Mark of Bessemer City, Ethel "Puddin" Whisnant of Shelby and Rachel Deyton of Gaffney; brothers, Carl Dover of Clover, Charlie Dover (Melanie) and Louie Dover (Donna) all of Bessemer City. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday October 29, 2015 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Mitchell Bolin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 5:45PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
