Joyce Helms McGinnis, 68, of Gastonia, passed away on March 14, 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain. She was born December 2, 1951 to the late Dewey and Lucille Bentley Helms.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband William Christie McGinnis, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her sons Michael McGinnis and wife Melissa of Dallas, William C. McGinnis, III and wife Elizabeth of Lincoln County; grandchildren Hunter McGinnis, Joshua McGinnis, Forest McGinnis; brothers William “Bubba” Helms; Jerry Helms, Joseph Helms; sister Agayha Postell

Joyce’s memorial service will be held at a later date.
