Judy Easler

Judy Ann Easler, 79, of Bessemer City, passed away at CaroMont Regional on July 25, 2022. She was born December 21, 1942, in Gaston County, to the late Ransom Verlyn Franklin Smith and Etta Scofield Swink Smith.

She is preceded in death by sister Ruby Day and brother J.W. Smith.

Judy loved God, her family, her grandsons and her church. She was a founding member of Trinity Assembly Evangelical Church, where she was very active and retired from Wix Filters after 38 years of service. Judy enjoyed traveling, especially the mountains of North Carolina, watching baseball, her favorite team is the Atlanta Braves.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years, Oscar Leroy Easler; daughter, Laura Easler Weslock (Rick); son, Paul Bryan Easler (Jenn); sisters, Nellie Martin, Georgie Day, brothers, Steve Smith; Harold Smith, Danny Smith; grandsons, Thomas Seth Easler, Ransom Richard Weslock, Reece Oscar Weslock.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Trinity Assembly Evangelical Church on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Judy’s funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Trinity Assembly Evangelical Church with Pastors Eric Griffin and Lee Russell officiating.

Interment will follow at the church’s cemetery.
