Junior Hedrick

Junior Ples Hedrick, 92 of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2022. He was born August 9, 1929, in Graham County, to the late Robert and Mildred Lequire Hedrick.

He is preceded in death by his son, Charles Hedrick.

Junior was a 33rd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was also the owner and operator of Hedrick’s Radiator. He loved to be in the shop whenever he could.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Alba Hedrick; children, Agee Hedrick, Glen Hedrick, Sheila Hedrick Porch, James “Peanut” Carter, Allie Hedrick, Travis Hopper, Buckie Hopper, and Sarah Hopper; family in Tennessee and Texas; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church, Bessemer City

Junior’s funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on February 4, 2022, at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Gomez officiating.
