Katherine Fox

Katherine Harris Fox, 85, of Bessemer City, passed away on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Meadowwood Nursing Center. She was born on December 18, 1929 in Gaston County, to the late Claude and Carrie Fowler Harris.

She was preceded in death by her daughter; Brenda Fox Arton; sisters, Virginia Downey, Vera Stewart, Evelyn Harris, and Isabel Day; brother, Buck Harris.

Katherine is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 60 years, Ernest Fox; her daughter, Pam Voyles and husband Clarence of Bessemer City; son-in-law, Bruce Arton of Shelby; her grandchildren, Daniel Voyles of Earl, NC, Emily Voyles Parker and husband Terry of Bessemer City, Ben Voyles and wife Brooke of VanCleave, MS, Chris Lineberger of Mt. Holly, Erica Menjivar of Concord; 6 great-grandchildren; Josh Lineberger, Destiny Lineberger, Tyler Parker, Lainee Franklin, Gaige Franklin, and Sam Voyles.

Katherine loved her husband and her family, but most of all she loved the Lord.

The family would like to reach out to Wanda Albea and Bud Walker, to express their deepest appreciation for the genuine care that they have provided for Katherine, and family, during her illness. They don't know what they would have done without you.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Bessemer City Church of God with the Rev. Harold Ashe and the Rev. Don Capell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
