Kathryn Mcclellan

Kathryn Shuford McClellan, 88, of Bessemer City, passed away on June 7, 2014 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. She was born August 16, 1925 in Gaston County, to the late William Frank and Mary Effie Guffey Shuford.

Kathryn was retired from Reeves Brothers - Osage Mill in Bessemer City after more than 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Bessemer City. Kathryn's family wishes to thank Janice Costner for all her help and care through the years and also thank White Oak Manor for their excellent care.. We will all miss her laughter and her sweet smile.

She is survived by her niece, Sandra Loyd and husband Greg of Bessemer City; brother-in-law, Roy Broome; best friend, Gloria Lackey; brothers, Frank Shuford and wife Rachel, Billy W. Shuford and wife Mary Ann all of Bessemer City; several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold McClellan; son, William Harold "Billy" McClellan, Jr.; brothers, Jim Shuford, Horace Shuford, Plato Shuford; sisters, Margaret Shuford, Betty Broome.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 3:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with Revs. Carter Ellis and Dick Whitener officiating. Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Sandra and Greg Loyd, 1306 N. 12th St., Bessemer City, NC
