Kathy Ghorley

Kathy Postell Ghorley, 55, of Bessemer City, passed away on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at home. She was born on March 1, 1960 in Cleveland County, to Douglas McArthur Postell of Gastonia and Mary Elizabeth Smith Postell of Live Oak, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Joe Ghorley, Sr.; her grandmother, Helen Smith; uncle, Jimmy Smith, aunt, Barbara Lynn.

Kathy was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and niece. She was the manager of Edgewood Grill in Bessemer City.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is survived by her fiance', Billy Putnam; sons, Danny Ghorley Jr. and wife Jamie of Ranlo, Kenny Ghorley and fiancé Crystal of Bessemer City; sister, Annette Saldo and fiancé Roger Gee of Bessemer City; step-mother, Ann Postell; nephew, Nick Saldo and wife Kristie; great-nephew, Greyson; grandchildren, Tayler and Brooke Ghorley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Friday, May 22, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City, NC.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Dr. Gene Ware officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
