Lacey Shrell

Lacey Leora Shrell, 28, died peacefully at home on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Lacey was born in Shelby, NC on June 3, 1993, and grew up in Bessemer City, NC. She was the daughter of Daveena McWade Schronce (formally Shrell) and John Blundell Shrell.

Lacey was preceded in death by her father, John B. Shrell and her twin daughters, Emery Daveena Shrell and Eliana Christine Shrell. Survivors include her mother (momma), Daveena Schronce; step-dad, Barry Schronce; brother, John E. Shrell and his wife, Veronica Otten; sister, Devin Killian; Step-Brother, Aaron Schronce; uncle, Kevin Shrell; and cousins, Trisha Shrell Goins, Kyle Shrell, and Jacob Shrell . Lacey was a very proud aunt and was also survived by her nephews, Aiden and Noah Killian, and nieces, Chloe and Nikki. Lacey loved many friends like family and is survived by countless others whose lives she has touched through the years.

Lacey was very spiritual and valued her close relationship with God and her church. She felt most at home when she was helping others and spreading God’s love through selfless acts of kindness. Lacey’s friends often described her as having a huge heart filled with compassion, generosity, and a genuine love for others. Though her life was cut short, her spirit will live on through the many people that loved her.

A memorial service will be held on October 22, 2021 at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, Dallas NC, at 7 pm.  Flowers may also be sent to this location. The address of the church is 3255 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034
