Larry Thomas

Larry Allen Thomas, 75, passed away at Robin Johnson House on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was born March 27, 1946 in Gaston County to the late Charles Rose and Peggy Jean Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Angley and sister Kathy Lawson.

Larry retired from textiles after 30+ years. He was an avid fisherman. The Atlanta Braves and Carolina Tarheels were his favorite sports teams.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 20 years Joyce Thomas; daughter Pamela Wilson (Nathan); stepsons Jimmy Gibson (Renea), and Richard Gibson; stepdaughter Carrie Wise (Keith); grandchild Heather; step-grandchildren Jada, Abbie, Mariah, Meredith, McKenzie, Mason James, Josh, Patience, and Molly; great grandchild Brendynn; great step-grandchildren Gabrielle, Caleb, Mason Lee, Janson, Helen, William, and Bentley; sister Tammy Ruff.

He will lie in state from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Friday, April 16, 2021.

Larry’s graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Laws officiating.
