Ld Black

LD Franklin Black, 82, of Grover, passed away September 19, 2013 at home. He was born in Cleveland County on November 10, 1930 to the late Frank and Lilly Mae Henderson Black.

He was retired from John E. Jenkins, Inc. after 37 years of service.

LD is survived by his daughters Kay McDaniel & husband Rick of Grover and Lorri Camp & husband Curtis of Wilmington; brothers Wayne Black and G C Black & wife Evelyn of Kings Mountain; sisters Mary Frances Greene and Doris Dabbs & husband Pete of Kings Mountain; grandchildren Ricky Dale McDaniel & wife LaBreeska, Melissa Webb & husband Harry Webb, Jr., Ron Black & wife Jessica, Amy Black & husband Eddie Carroll, Frankie Lineberger and Billy Lineberger; great grandchildren Logan McDaniel, Jessica and Noah Webb, Hannah Black, Alana Black, Courtland Douville, Faith Lineberger and Cody Honeycutt.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Marie Sims Black; son Ron Black; brothers Louis Elmer Black and Lawrence Black.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Midview Baptist Church, Kings Mountain with Rev. Robbie Stinson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
