Linda Wehunt

Linda Linder Neely Wehunt 65, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Friday September 11, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born September 6, 1950 in Gaston County, to the late Paul and Vida Wright Linder.

Linda is survived by her son, Tommy Dover of Kings Mountain; sister, Jane Linder Falls of Greensboro, NC; granddaughter, Jordan Dover of Irmo, SC; niece, Leah Lyerly and husband Larry of Greensboro, NC.

Linda was a 1968 graduate of Bessemer City High School. She attended Western Carolina University and then studied dental assistance at CPCC. She worked at Paul Hendricks DDS for more than 30 years. Afterwards, she thoroughly enjoyed her nine year position at Beltone Hearing Aid, Gastonia. Linda was an avid golfer for many years and an enthusiastic sports fan. She loved animals and nature: especially her dog "Hoover" and her deer and wild turkeys. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial service will be held for Ms. Wehunt at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Carter Ellis officiating.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
