Lois Lowery

Lois Helen Newton Lowery of Kings Mountain, passed away January 8, 2015.
Helen was born September 26, 1923, in High Shoals Township, Rutherford County, NC to the late Palmer and Viola Newton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years Johnny Roy Lowery and grandson, Donnie Lowery

Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory: sons, Gary (JoAnn) of Kings Mountain and Johnny (Janie) of Easley, SC; daughters Brenda Dorris (Don) of St. Augustine, Fla., and Sandra Dickson of Swannanoa, NC; sisters, Stella Womack (Sherrill) of Forest City; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Landmark Baptist Church, Shelby. The Lowery family will receive family and friends from 1:00 - 2:00. The funeral officiated by Rev. Allen Davis will be from 2:00 - 3:00. The extended family will travel to Providence Methodist Church in Henrietta for a graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution for consideration include Hospice of Kings Mountain and Landmark Baptist Church, Shelby.
