Lottie Spivey

Lottie Maney Spivey, 87, of Dallas, died October 6, 2012, at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Gastonia.  She was born December 1, 1924 in Clay County to the late Samuel and Martha Bradshaw Maney.



She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Oliver Miller Spivey; son, Johnny Michael Spivey of Bryson City; daughter, Esther Martha Spivey of Dallas; brothers, Rev. David Maney of Macon Co., Robert Maney of Kings Mountain, Ruel Maney of Boiling Springs, and Delmar Maney of Dallas; sister, Opal Maney Mashburn of Clay County; granddaughters, Tammy Duvall and Dawn Spivey; great-granddaughters, Kendra and Adrianne Duvall.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Doyle Maney.



Lottie was a member of North Gaston Church of God for more than 22 years.   She was former owner and operator of Lottie Spivey's Greenhouse for 21 years.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at North Gaston Church of God in Dallas with Rev. Andy Nicholson, Rev. Ted Smith, and Rev. Jimmy Maney officiating.





The family will receive friends one hour before the service.



Interment will be at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.
