Louis Calvin Sorrells, Sr., 76, passed away at home on Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born July 3, 1944 in Hart County, Ga., to the late Otis Calvin and Eula Lee Tennant Sorrells.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Margie Pennington Sorrells, grandson Aaron, great-grandchildren Gage, Kaylee and Kayden; sisters Betty Sewell, Virginia Laws and Frances Royston
Left to cherish his memories is his son Louis Sorrells, Jr. (Melissa); daughter Lisa Kirkland; sisters Helen Safrait and JoAnn Patterson; grandchildren Josh, Brandi, Austin, Michael, Greg and Dustin; and great grandchildren McKinley, Jaden.
He will lie in state from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
Louis’s funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Yarboro officiating.
Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens, Blacksburg, SC.
