LUCILLE FRANKLIN

Lucille "Sam" Stephens Franklin, 75, of Bessemer City, passed away May 13, 2015 at home. She was born October 27, 1939 in Union County, Georgia to the late Edward Mack and Iona Johnson Stephens.

Lucille started working at Helen's Restaurant in Bessemer City, and she also worked at several other restaurants in Gaston County including Edgewood Grill. Lucille was a great mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sid Franklin; grandson, Terrell Lee Badger, sister, Betty Sue Cantrell.

She was survived by her daughters, Rebecca Badger of Kenyon, Minnesota, Teresa Radke and husband Tim of Kenyon, Minnesota, Crystal Ballard and husband Ronald of Bessemer City; son, Terrell Badger, Jr. and wife Susan of Bessemer City; brothers, Samuel James Stephens of High Shoals, Daniel Edward Stephens of Gastonia; sisters, Virginia Ann Eby of Duncanville, TX., Mary Jo Parker of Statesville, Judy Marie Clark of Gastonia; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremations Services.

Burial will be in the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
