Madison Mixon

Madison Claire Mixon, 14, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was born October 31, 2004 in Gaston County to Johnnie Wayne Mixon and the late Teresa Jones Mixon.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Imogene Johnson and great grandmother Betty Shultz.

Left to cherish her memory are her father Johnnie Wayne Mixon; sisters Heather and husband Timmy Cochran, and Whitney Mixon; grandfather Johnnie Mixon I of Kings Mountain; grandmother and step-grandfather Judy and James Shultz of Dallas; 7 Uncles and 7 Aunts; numerous cousins, a niece and two nephews.

Madison attended Bessemer City Middle School, was an Honor Student and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She loved owls, reading and camping. Her Maw-Maw says she loves you very much.

A Celebration of her life will be held at New Life Baptist Church, 614 S. 11th St. Bessemer City, on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 3:00 pm.

Madison's family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at New Life Baptist Church and at other times at the home, 117 E. Boston Ave.

Interment will follow in the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
