Margaret Anderson

Margaret Blanton Anderson, 91 of Gastonia passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at home. She was born on May 5, 1923 in Gaston County to the late Albert and Mary Clementine Padgett Blanton.

Margaret was a member of Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Clark and the staff at TLC for their care during this difficult time.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband A. C. Anderson; her siblings, Cora Morton, Charles Blanton, William Blanton, Claude Blanton, Ralph Blanton, Clyde Blanton, Inez Tew, Irene Jones and Lucy Hovis; grandson Mark Anderson.

Survivors include her children, J. W. Anderson of Clinton, SC, Mary Cowan and husband Lee, Joanne Bumgardner and husband Steve, and Robin Eagle all of Gastonia; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Nancy Blanton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Roger Overton officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Margaret's visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
