Margaret Baynard

Margaret Anthony Baynard, 87, passed away at Caromont Regional Medical Center on Friday, May 14, 2021. She was born October 4, 1933 in Macon, GA to the late Ernest Clayton Anthony and Ruth Durham Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cling M. Baynard; daughters Margaret Diane Collins, Linda Collins, Donna Green, Phyllis Dellinger and Sherri Allen; several siblings.

Margaret worked 25 years at Northwest Plastics. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, bingo and gardening. She was most happy spending time with her children and grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed traveling.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons retired SGT. Luther “Doug” Collins (Mary) and Bobby Collins; daughters Susan Baynard (Ricky Stalcup), Wanda Baynard (Thomas Ayers); son-in-law Thomas Barber; 13 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Patricia Plemmons, and Teresa Rimmer.

She will lie in state from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Monday, May 17, 2021.

Margaret’s funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Ritchie Doss officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
