Margaret Shields

Margaret Emma Jean Shields, 72, of Bessemer City, passed away on April 26, 2015 at home. She was born on April 1, 1943 in Gaston County, to the late Bronce Monroe and Katie Mildred Scott Shields.

In addition to her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her grandparents Wesley and Emma Bailey; sister Mary Marquard.

She was retired from cosmetology and was a member of Ragan Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City.

She was survived by her sisters, Dorothy Shields, Amanda Shields, Shirley Downey and husband Buck, Debbie Norris and husband Keith all of Bessemer City

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, at Ragan Wesleyan Church with Pastor John Harper and Pastor Chip Norman officiating.

Interment will follow in Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations can be made to the Ragan Wesleyan Church, 535 Oates Road Gastonia, NC 28052.
