Margaret Stillwell

Gastonia, North Carolina

Margaret Ledford Stillwell, 73, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday February 17, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born July 1, 1942, in York, S.C., daughter to the late Stanley Ambrose and Josie Barker Ledford.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 55 years, Larry K. Stillwell; her daughter, Donna Goodson and husband Joey of Maiden, NC; grandchildren, Amanda G. Baxter and husband Teddy, Aaron D. Goodson and wife Melissa; great-grandchild, William Baxter; her niece, April Roper and daughter Zoey Armstrong of the home; sister, Marcene L. Walters and husband Mike; brothers, Leslie Ledford and wife Diane, Gary Ledford and wife Brenda.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Alene Jenkins, Lorene Whitworth, Linda Huffstetler, and Peggy Rice; brother, Wayne Ledford.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Jan Deans and the Rev. Ronnie Simmons officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.

The family would like to express special thanks Margaret's nurse, Hospice caregivers, and medical Doctors for the care given to Mrs. Stillwell.
