MARGIE HUTCHINS



Margie Cunningham Hutchins, 86, of Bessemer City, departed to her new home in Glory on December 11, 2012.  She was born February 13, 1926 in Cramerton to the late William Henry and Bonnie Dalton Cunningham.



Margie was a charter member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, Bessemer City where she served as church secretary, GA leader, Sunday school teacher and choir member. Margie retired from Wix after 43 years of service.



She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Kermit Lee Hutchins, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Kermit L. Jr. and Debbie Hutchins of Stanley; daughters and son-in-law, Gail and Alfred Croft, Jr. of Bessemer City, Vickie Hutchins Sprinkle of Winston-Salem; brothers, Melvin Cunningham of Bessemer City, Ray Cunningham of Gastonia, sister, Betty Jean Eckard of Hickory; grandchildren, Kermit L. Hutchins, III of Cherryville, Jovi White of Gaffney, SC, Kevin Hutchins of Kings Mountain ,Crystal Hutchins of Stanley, Wesley Croft of Bessemer City, John Baucom of Gastonia, Jason Rochelle of Fort Campbell, Ky, Charlie and Clinton Sprinkle of Winston Salem; 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.



She is preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Ann Hutchins Wise; son, Christian Scott Hutchins; brother, James Cunningham; sisters, Margaret Hill, Joyce Tate, Nina Hendren.



Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Rev. James Ellis and Rev. Roger Yarborough officiating.



Interment will follow at Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery.



The family will receive friends Friday, 2:00- 3:00 pm at the church and other times at the home.
