Marsha Widener

January 10, 1968 — March 23, 2023

Bessemer City

Marsha Denise Kirby Widener, 55, of Bessemer City, passed away at CaroMont Regional on March 23, 2023. She was born January 10, 1968, in Gaston County, to Mary Black Kirby and the late Marvin Cleo Kirby.

She graduated from North Gaston High School in 1986 and went on to have many different careers as a jack of all trades. Her most recent was an Office Manager for Pneumax Automation in Dallas, NC.

Marsha was a doting Mother and loving wife who had a passion for making others laugh. She was cherished and deeply loved by her Husband, Jody, and Daughter, Kirby.  For her Husband, Marsha was everything. She could tackle any challenge that was sent her way and was known as the “glue of the family” for her daughter and husband. She loved spending time with her daughter, and dog Belle, and often spent time in the kitchen making new recipes she found on TikTok. Marsha was always the happiest person in the room with her contagious smile and tenacity for life. Marsha will be greatly missed and we know that she is dancing in heaven with her beloved Dad, Marvin.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jody Kale Widener; daughter, Kirby Lynn Widener (Joe Helms); mother, Mary Black Kirby; brothers, Scott Kirby, James Kirby; cousins, Lynn Cranfield, Jerry Self, Jr., Amy Hall Novinc; great aunt, Geraldine Helton; mother-in-law, Toni Widener.

Marsha’s services will be private.
