Martha Holland

Martha "Louise" Holland, 78, of Bessemer City, passed away on April 2, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 7, 1937 in Swain County, to the late Gus and Betty Sutton Long.

Louise was a very generous and caring person and loved doing for her family, she enjoyed crocheting. She and her husband formerly owned Buddy Holland Textiles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Holland, son Johnny Holland, daughter Jerrie Rose, and numerous brothers & sisters.

Louise is survived by her son Dennis Holland and wife Anita of Clover; daughter Angela Holland of Bessemer City; brother Jim Long of Bessemer City; sister Lola Bryson of Whittier, NC; grandchildren Michael Holland and Steven Holland of Clover, Travis Holland of Dallas, and Kelsey Bustle and husband Chris of Bessemer City.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, with Rev. Dick Whitener officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
