Marvin Hufton

Marvin Wallace Hufton, age 74, passed away peacefully on Monday November 5, 2018 while at Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC. He was born August 6, 1944 in Tyrell County to the late William Marvin and Martha Caroline Hufton.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Shane Hufton (Michelle), and Brandon Wallace Hufton (Catherine); granddaughter, Zoey Caroline Hufton; sisters, Nannie Hufton, Gerald Reason, Adrellia McNair, and Dean Kight; brothers, Thomas Hufton, and William Michael Hufton.

Marvin was a veteran of the United States Army National Reserves. He also retired from Hunter Douglas, Bessemer City. Marvin loved fishing and was an excellent caregiver while taking care of his mother.

A Celebration of Marvin's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Memorial Chapel with Bro. Macon Smith officiating.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia.

Marvin's family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
