Mary Dixon

Mary Ruth Dixon, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Chatsworth, Ga on October 2, 1932 to the late Thomas and Flora Best Cantrell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 68 years, Herbert L. Dixon, Sr.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Herbert L. Dixon Jr, and Duane Dixon (Gina) all of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Duane Dixon Jr., Ashlee Dixon, John Dixon, Herbert L. Dixon III (Danelle), Ashley Lewis (Damon), Todd Parker; great-grandchildren, Allie, Jaylin, Johnathen, Bailee, Averie, Emma, Maleiya, Draiden, Chase, Carson, Camden, and Cooper; nieces and nephews

Mary’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Pastor Jon Mann officiating.

Mrs. Dixon will lie in state from 1 to 1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
