Mary Hamrick

Mary Wellman Hamrick, 71 of Kings Mountain formerly of Belmont, passed away at Kings Mountain Hospice House on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Mary was born January 25, 1944 in Gaston County.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Wingate Wellman, her father, James Arthur Wellman and her husband of 34 years Virgil Hamrick.

Mary was a selfless individual with a heart of gold. She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren more than words can describe. All who knew her, were blessed. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Kings Mountain Hospice House for the compassionate care shown to Mary in her last days.

Survivors include her son, Tracy Hamrick and wife Jennifer(Tinker) of Dallas; daughters, Rebecca Beach and husband Jason of Kings Mountain, Sheila Walls and husband Mark of Candler, NC, Renee Huskey and husband Tim of Kings Mountain; 12 grandchildren, Aaron, Stephen, Taylor, Ariana, Madison, Timmy, Destiny, Greyson, Kerrick, Victoria, Ethan, Sophia; sister, Linda Abernathy and husband Frank of Lowell.

All are welcome to Celebrate Mary's Life at A Memorial Service: Alexander Baptist Church in Belmont, NC at 2:00 pm February 8, 2015 with Pastor Jerry Pennington officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening, February 7, 2015 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
